Blowing Up the Competition: Dockman Style

As dockmen, we work hard—but we also know how to have a little fun. In this latest adventure, Dockman Garrick takes you step by step through a unique and explosive way to deal with a competitor’s old, sunken dock. And what better tool for the job than Tannerite?

For those unfamiliar, Tannerite is a brand of binary explosive targets used for firearms practice. It comes in kit form and consists of two separate components: an oxidizer and a fuel—primarily aluminum powder. When mixed properly and used safely by a responsible adult, Tannerite can turn any ordinary day at the office into a blast… literally.

The Dockman’s Explosive Dock Removal Plan

  1. Return the Sunken Dock – First things first, we hauled the old, broken dock back to Waters Edge Dock & Hoist. No point in letting a competitor’s junk clutter up the shoreline.
  2. Mix the Tannerite – Safety first! Garrick carefully combined the Tannerite components, following the exact instructions for a proper mix. A good shake, and it was ready to go.
  3. Take Aim and Fire – From a safe distance, Garrick lined up his shot, took a deep breath, and pulled the trigger. BOOM! The dock didn’t stand a chance.

Responsible Fun

While this was all in good fun, safety is always a priority. Tannerite should only be handled by adults who understand the risks, and it should never be used recklessly. Garrick made sure to follow all precautions, ensuring that the explosive charge was used in a controlled environment where no people, boats, docks, or other structures were at risk.
