The Dockman’s Mini-Adventure in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula
In this latest travel vlog, The Dockman—Jerry Wilson—takes us along on a behind-the-scenes journey after wrapping up a major dock and boat lift project in Watersmeet, Michigan. With his crew in tow—Dockman-in-Training Grant, Nate, and cameraman Brandon Damon (Video)—the team set out on what Jerry calls a “mini-adventure” through the Upper Peninsula.
The project itself was no small feat: installing a large dock section and two Great Lakes Lift boat lifts with canopies on a lake bottom full of tree stumps. Once the job was done, the crew shifted gears from heavy lifting to exploring. Their stops included fishing at Agate Falls, making touch-ups to a floating dock on Teal Lake in Negaunee, and an overnight stay at a hotel in Marquette before heading up to Big Bay the next day.
For Grant, the newest Dockman-in-Training, every stop was a first-time experience, making this adventure even more memorable. From big installs to big views, this vlog captures the perfect mix of work, play, and discovery in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula.
